Parent Participation
Your involvement and connection with the class is important. Some parents like to work on a regular basis with students. Some like to share a particular talent or interest on occasion. Others prefer to support the physical environment through gardening, cleaning, making repairs and materials, or through purchasing materials to enrich the curriculum. Please let me know how you would like to participate.
All volunteers must go through a screening process for sake of student safety. Here is some information about this.
Become a volunteer in three easy steps:
- Click here for an online volunteer application. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Note: If you don't have access to a computer, you may be allowed to use a computer at a school or stop by the Department of Community & Family Engagement kiosk. A social security number is required to apply. All required information must be entered in order for the application to be submitted. Please allow a two-week turn around for processing.
- Contact your school volunteer liaison to let the school know you are interested in volunteering and to discuss volunteer opportunities. Ashley Larramore is our Axson volunteer liaison. 992-3600 ext. 107.
- Please remember to sign in and out using the Volunteer Sign-in Book in the front office. Your volunteer hours help not only students and teachers, but also help schools achieve awards from the Florida Department of Education.
